Be on Alert for Ransomeware
1 min readOct 26, 2019
Ransomware attacks are growing more than 350% annually.
Ransomware is a type of malicious software (malware), designed to deny access to a computer system or data until a ransom is paid.
If your device has been exposed to ransomware, take action:
- Contact your bank immediately.
- Review your account for any unauthorized charges.
- Consider reporting the attack to your local police department, and file a report with the Federal Trade Commission or the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.
- Clients may also report phishing email to reportphishing@antiphishing.org. The Anti-Phishing Working Group uses these reports to fight phishing.
